    You can rent a mobile battery using your smartphone in the following ways: MTcharge Dedicated App Scan the designated QR code with your smartphone camera, download the dedicated app, and proceed with the rental. Direct Rental via LINE Without downloading the dedicated app, you can scan the QR code with LINE's camera and rent directly. Direct Rental via WeChat Without downloading the dedicated app, you can scan the QR code with WeChat's camera and rent directly.
  • How to rent a mobile battery
     The procedure for renting a mobile battery is as follows: Scan the QR code on the MTcharge charging stand with your smartphone camera. For first-time users, select a payment method and proceed with the rental procedure (SMS verification is required for app rentals). After completing the payment process, remove the battery from the slot that is blinking and start using the mobile battery.
  • How to return a mobile battery
     You can return the mobile battery at any MTcharge charging stand. You can check available return locations through the MTcharge app. The return procedure is as follows: Insert the battery into an available slot on the MTcharge charging stand until you hear a click, and confirm that the indicator light changes from blinking to solid. Once the return is complete, you will receive a "Return Complete Message." If you rented through LINE or WeChat, please confirm the return in your usage history.
  • Accepted payment methods
    Currently, the following payment methods are available: Credit Card PayPay WeChat Pay (scheduled for release in August 2024) Apple Pay (scheduled for release in September 2024) When using PayPay or WeChat Pay, a temporary deposit hold will be applied. After the rental is completed, the held deposit will be refunded.
  • Registering and changing payment methods
    You need to select a payment method before use. When using the app, you can choose from credit cards, PayPay, or Apple Pay. When using LINE, payment is made through your LINE Wallet, and for first-time users, please register a credit card, PayPay, or Apple Pay. When using WeChat, payment is made through your WeChat Pay. Please register or change your payment method before renting. You cannot change it during a rental.
  • I want to cancel my membership
    Thank you for using MTcharge. To cancel your MTcharge membership: Tap the profile icon on the menu screen. Tap "Account and Security." Tap "Delete Account." Agree to the terms and conditions to delete your account. Please note that once you delete your account, all information, including usage history, cannot be recovered. Please be aware that you cannot cancel if there are any incomplete or unpaid orders on your account.
  • What is a temporary deposit?
    When using PayPay or WeChat Pay, a temporary deposit hold will be applied. After the rental is completed, the held deposit will be refunded.
  • I can't charge the battery even though there is power remaining
    If your device is not charging, please check the following: If the battery level is below 25%, charging might not work properly. If you are using your device while charging. Charging in cold environments, such as during winter. When charging a device with a large battery capacity, if the device's battery level exceeds the remaining mobile battery level.
  • I returned the battery but the rental time is still counting
    We apologize for the inconvenience. Please check the following, and if the issue persists, contact customer support: Make sure the battery is securely inserted into the return slot until you hear a click. After inserting the battery into the MTcharge charging stand, confirm that the indicator light changed from blinking to solid. If the charging stand's power is off, it cannot accept returns, so please inform the on-site staff. Confirm that you returned the battery to an MTcharge charging stand. If you returned it to another company's stand, the return process will not be completed, and you will need to contact the other company's customer support.
  • If the borrowed mobile battery won't charge
    Batteries that are not sufficiently charged cannot be rented. Please try another charging stand. Additionally, if the charging stand is unavailable due to network errors or other issues, please try another stand.
  • If the mobile battery is accidentally lost or cannot be returned due to improper use
    After 120 hours from the start of the rental, in addition to the maximum fee of 1,980 yen, a penalty of 1,980 yen will be charged, resulting in a total of 3,960 yen.
  • If the location you are trying to return the item to is closed
    Please check the store or facility's closing time when renting. If you are unable to return the battery to a nearby MTcharge charging stand, please use the app's map to find another MTcharge charging stand. If you have any questions, please contact customer support.
  • I was charged a usage fee that I did not recognize
    Please contact customer support if you are charged an amount different from what you expected.
  • When I tried to return it, the slots were full and I couldn't return it.
    Please return the battery at another MTcharge rental stand. You can check available stands on the app's map.
  • What types of data cables are available for MT Charge mobile batteries?
    Three types of cables are built-in: USB-C Cable iOS Lightning Cable Micro-USB Cable
  • How many times can an MT Charge mobile battery charge my smartphone?
    The MTcharge mobile battery has a capacity of 5,000mAh, which can typically charge a standard smartphone once. However, the number of charges may vary depending on the smartphone model and its built-in battery capacity. Additionally, if you continue to use your smartphone while charging, it may not fully charge. We do not recommend charging multiple devices simultaneously using multiple data cables.
  • How to check the remaining charge on your mobile battery
    Check the indicator lights on the battery. Each light represents approximately 25% of the battery capacity. If the last indicator light is blinking, please return the battery or charge it immediately.
  • Can I charge a laptop?
    It is not possible to fully charge a laptop, but it can be used as an emergency measure when the battery is low.
